Find long-term relief from Tinnitus and Hyperacusis

With the right treatment, Tinnitus and Hyperacusis can improve over time.

Tinnitus and Hyperacusis are often caused by changes in the central auditory system (the brain) due to changes in hearing, exposure to loud noise, head or neck injuries, infections, increased blood pressure, medications, or following periods of stress, illness, or lack of sleep, as well as other causes.

We specialise in personalised treatment plans for:

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is defined as sounds heard in the head or ears without an external source. They may be experienced as a ringing, buzzing, whistling, hissing, cicada sounds, or other sound.

Hyperacusis

Hyperacusis is defined as a heightened sense of volume, abnormal intolerance and physical discomfort of louder level sounds, especially high-pitched sounds and particularly those in close proximity, which other people can tolerate well.

Let’s get you back on track!

Tinnitus and hyperacusis can have a significant effect on quality of life and function, but it doesn’t have to be this way. The brain can change over time to lessen the effects and significance of tinnitus and hyperacusis. But we need a plan!

The treatment plan that works for you.

I can guide you through the steps needed so that you can receive a tailored treatment plan specific to your Tinnitus and/or Hyperacusis and individual needs. For optimal outcomes, I need a comprehensive understanding of your history and hearing (online questionnaires can be completed when you click “Book an appointment”). You can book a time for an online session so that I can ask you for further details about your tinnitus or hyperacusis.

We will also spend 90 minutes going through a presentation so that I can explain Tinnitus and/or Hyperacusis in an easy-to-understand format, that is research-supported and interesting! We will discuss the treatment options suitable to your specific needs and after our session, I will provide a written tailored treatment plan. If referrals are required or ACC are involved, I will provide a report.

There is hope and there is help available for Tinnitus and Hyperacusis.
